Themes

Users can easily change the graphical and audio experience of the phone by installing new themes. A UIQ theme adds a skin to the UI controls, altering their form and color. Wallpaper, ring tones, alarm sounds and message sounds can all be replaced to fit the theme.

Most UIQ phones are sold with a number of themes to choose from. New themes can also be downloaded from the Internet. Users can even create their very own themes by following the instructions on developer.uiq.com.

User settings

UIQ phones have many settings for modifying how information and content are presented. For example, users can set the zoom level for applications, use a personal photo or image as wallpaper, define formats for time, date and numbers, and choose ring tones for individual contacts.
